Groups Overview

If your property has purchased the ReServe Interactive™ interface for use alongside Chorum, we recommend referring to ReServe's built-in knowledge base instead for group-related tasks. This can be accessed any time from the ReServe portal by clicking Help and Training in the top-right hand corner, or using this link (you must still have a valid ReServe login):

ReServe is primarily a 1-way interface, meaning that group activity is meant to be done almost exclusively from ReServe. Changes done in ReServe will flow to and overwrite anything in Chorum for a booked group that does not match what is in ReServe. Booking activity still flows freely between both systems.
All bookings fall into one of two categories - either a transient An individual booking not associated with a group. or a group
A collection of multiple guest bookings together for the same (or similar) date range as part of the same organization or event. stay. While all individual bookings can generally be managed directly from the Reservations module no matter their type, for best results its recommended to handle all group related activity using the Groups module. From this module, you can easily manage all inventory blocks, bookings, and rates for guests associated with a given group instead of needing to access and update each booking individually.
The groups module itself only features two menus - one for creating group bookings (New Group), and one for finding an existing group (Group Booking). Most of the time you spend in this module will instead be inside each group booking, whether you are creating a new one or updating an existing one.
